D365 Commerce – Clean up your 9999

If you use D365 Commerce, then you are most likely also have some CSU (Commerce Scale Units). Sending and receiving data frequently can quickly take a lot of preciouses GB of storage, that you want to use for other purposed.

To see if you need to clean up, go into download sessions in the “Retail and Commerce” module, and see if you have a lot of old stuff like this:

If you do, then setup go into Commerce Scheduler parameters, and specify your retention period and then click on the “Purge history data”:

This will purge upload session, download sessions and a few other elements. You do not need to run his on a high frequency, and typically set it up for weekly or monthly.

Every ‘bit’ removed becomes savings down the road.
