“A picture can tell more than a 1000 words.” But a video can tell even more.(Unless it is fake AI generated).

When implementing Dynamics 365 we often use DevOps to document requirements, tasks and bugs. But did you know there is a very quick and easy way to attach a small video to you work items ?

I use the “Snipping Tool” a lot to take screenshots, but this can also record video’s within a specified area.

Start the process by clicking: Windows logokey + Shift + S

Then select the video tool:

The select the area you want to record, and start/stop recording. Also use Zoomit to make marks.

So far so good… But here are the super trick. In the Snipping Tool that pops up click on “GIF”:

And then select “Copy”:

This allows you to paste(CTRL-V) a video into DevOps, documents, emails etc. And even into blogs:
